Lovely poem and no doubt always a timely encouragement. Rachel and I celebrated 44 years together this past July. Wow! The things we have seen . . . And done together. Seems like just yesterday, but a blessed forever!
Oh, Katie, thank you for tell me how my words landed for your today--and happy (belated) anniversary to you as well. Love what you said about God's mercy for two stubborn people. I can relate!
Happy 51st anniversary to both you and Bill! We celebrated (well, still somewhat on hold but hopefully later this year) 50 years in April and echo you in giving the praise and glory to God. xo
EXCELLENT, Jody. Simply excellent. A good and long marriage--it is a marvel. You describe it well. The commitment of two people to marriage for a long time can sometimes looks like they have been given an easy assignment. I've not found that to be true (married 48 yrs in August). It is an ever moving target with anger and danger and difficulties and as my husband and I like to say: higher highs and lower lows (for us) than being alone but also it carries an intrinsic gladness. That gladness. What a gift.
Dear Susan, thank you for saying so. And yes I agree with your last line, "That gladness. What a gift.” And the legacy of our children and grandchildren. That is a priceless treasure.

Beautiful! Happy belated 51 YEARS! We are coming up on 17 this Sunday, and it's startling to me! It's so much work but so much joy, too!
Thank you, Kristine. So much work and so much joy...Yes. and worth all the effort.
I love that Jody: "God's grace is the only glue that works in putting two broken people together."
Happy Anniversary:)
I thank God for your testimony of His faithfulness and goodness!
Hubby and I just celebrated 44 years this June. How merciful God has been to two stubborn people!

Twenty years is something to celebrate, Mark. Thanks for the kind words.
