Love these haiku, Jody--each one a delight. I'm hard-pressed to choose a favorite, but perhaps the one about wisteria. That middle line is absolutely sublime!
I’m glad you broke from the plan and shared these bits of delight! I dk if you follow @emilypfreeman but I’ve been listening to her Lenten series (I love it so much) and she ends each one with a haiku. It is really special. I have found it to be true what you say about writing with borders. Sometimes it’s surprising what shows up within the confines! Happy spring, Jody.
Thank you Laura for the confirmation... and I'm not currently following Emily but I probably need to check out her work, especially for the season. Appreciate you so much friend.
Accompaniment 😊
Hello, I write crazy, zany, wacky, weird poetry that will make you laugh, cry, smile, and have you wonder why did he illustrate it that way.

Oh dear Nancy... 'sublime' is high praise. Thank you friend.
Ooo my favorite was the drops of rain haiku!
Mud, water and frogs
By the creek, the blackbirds sing.
Fruit trees are in bloom.
Rachael I love it!
Rachael I love it!
Wow! These are amazing. I’m so bad at writing haiku but these make me want to try!
Zane there is something rather freeing and having to limit yourself to just write words and a limited amount of syllables. You should totally try it.
So playful and lovely!!
I haven’t played with haikus in a while—thanks for this reminder! ✨ their simplicity is a gift and inspiration.
“Devoted songbirds…” 💭
Cathy, the simplicity is indeed a gift :-) and yay for songbirds, eh?
